Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 fish fillets (matjes)
  • 5 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 apple (Boskop or similar)
  • 3 gherkins
  • Pepper, freshly ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

quick preparation

If the herring is too salty, soak it in water. Peel the apple. Cut the herring, apple, and gherkins into small pieces. Then add the mayonnaise and sour cream. Mix everything together and season with pepper. This dish can be served with boiled potatoes or fresh bread. This dish tastes best when left to marinate overnight.
