Maultaschen with a twist

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 packs of Maultasche(s)
  • 2 onions
  • 2 packs of ham (back ham)
  • 2 packs of cheese
  • 2 cans of pineapple
  • Fondor
  • paprika
  • ½ liter broth
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Cook the Maultschen in your choice of broth (I usually use vegetable broth). Once they’ve cooled slightly, cut them into strips and place them in a casserole dish. Brown the ham and onion in a pan. Then pour the mixture over the Maultaschen. Pour the pineapple over the pasta (reserve the pineapple juice). Then season with pepper, paprika, and Fondor (as desired), then pour a ladleful of broth and pineapple juice over the pasta, if desired. Sprinkle with cheese (grated is best) and bake. I usually serve it with iceberg lettuce. It’s absolutely delicious.
