Vegan mayonnaise without eggs
Since you can refine the basic recipe with spices and herbs as you wish, you can also make a tartar sauce. For the basic recipe, you need the following ingredients
- 150ml milk
- 250 ml canola oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons medium hot mustard
- some freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Salt, pepper, and herbs to taste
The preparation
A hand blender is ideal for beating mayonnaise. All ingredients should be at about the same temperature.
- Mix the milk well with the lemon juice using the hand blender.
- Then add the oil drop by drop while the blender is running.
- If the liquid thickens, you can add mustard, spices, and herbs.
- Mayonnaise works particularly well if you use natural yogurt instead of milk.
