McRib for everyone

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 g minced meat
  • 1 egg(s)
  • smoked salt
  • pepper
  • some barbecue sauce
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 2 gherkins
  • 2 rolls (hot dog buns)
  • some oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Vegetarian or vegan options possible

Mix the ground beef with the egg and seasonings. Form two long patties, possibly making a few “grooves” with the bottom of a knife (for a more attractive look). Heat the oil in a griddle and fry the patties on both sides. Cut open the hot dog buns and toast the insides. Chop the onion and thinly slice the gherkins. Heat the barbecue sauce slightly in the microwave. Now top the bun with the patty, barbecue sauce, onion, and gherkins. Important: The barbecue sauce is what makes this burger special, so choose one that tastes similar to the one you’d find at a chain restaurant. If you want to make the burger vegetarian or vegan, simply replace the ground beef with a substitute (from the refrigerated section or make your own).
