Mediterranean crab or fish pan

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 450 g crab, pre-cooked/fried (alternatively white fish)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 4 tomatoes
  • ½ bunch basil
  • 200g mozzarella
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

First, quarter the tomatoes, remove the stems, seeds, and juice. Cut the tomato flesh into small cubes. Alternatively, you can use canned tomatoes. Finely chop the peeled garlic clove. Thinly slice the mozzarella. Finely chop the basil. Sauté the garlic in a pan with oil, then add the tomatoes, season generously with salt and pepper, and let stand for 5 minutes with the lid on. Then add the prawns and the lemon juice. Bring back to a boil and season to taste. Place everything in a baking dish and cover with the mozzarella slices. Bake in a preheated oven (200 degrees Celsius top/bottom heat), or grill for about 7 minutes. Sprinkle the basil over the top before serving and season with more pepper. This goes very well with pasta or rice.
