Aside from that:

  • 90 ml Water, lukewarm, approx. 35-40 ° C
  • 250 ml Dry red wine, room temperature
  • 100 g Finely chopped olives, black or green
  • 100 g Sun-Dried tomatoes
  • Some flour for the work surface and for the baking sheet
  1. Drain the olives on a sieve and cut into slices. Cut the tomatoes into small pieces.
  2. Put the baking mixture with the water and red wine in a bowl and knead with the hand mixer (dough hook) on the highest setting for approx. 3-4 minutes to form a smooth dough. Then put the olives and tomatoes in a box. Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes until the volume has increased significantly.
  3. Knead the dough briefly again on a floured work surface, divide it into two equal pieces and roll them out in an oblong shape.
  4. Dust a baking sheet lined with baking paper with flour, place the sticks on top and let rise in a warm place for about 40 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 230 ° C (fan oven: 210 ° C).
  6. Turn the bars over and use a spatula or the back of a knife to cut each of them crosswise into six pieces. Bake the bread in the lower third of the oven for about 30-35 minutes. After baking, let cool on a wire rack or wooden board.
  7. Tastes good with grilled food
