Mediterranean roll

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry, from the refrigerated section
  • 1 pack of herb cream cheese
  • ½ pack of sheep’s cheese
  • 1 jar of stuffed green olives
  • Chili pepper(s), crushed
  • Black cumin
  • Milk
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 3 tsp, heaped basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

with puff pastry, olives and feta cheese

Roll out the puff pastry and spread with the cream cheese. Cut the feta cheese into wafer-thin slices and spread them on the spread puff pastry. Then halve the olives (or quarters, whichever you prefer) and spread them on top. Now tightly roll up the puff pastry, starting at the narrow end, and brush with a little milk. Place the roll in the oven preheated to 200°C (400°F) and bake for about 30 minutes. If it starts to brown too quickly, cover with aluminum foil. In the meantime, mix the olive oil with the basil and garlic. Brush the mixture onto the roll after baking. Red wine goes very well with this.
