Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 pack of sheep’s cheese, approx. 200 g
  • 5 tomatoes, dried
  • 5 olives, black, pitted
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp basil, shredded or fresh if available
  • n. B. Olive oil, good quality
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 1 small chili pepper(s), dried, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Spicy spread with sheep’s cheese, dried tomatoes and olives

Soak the sun-dried tomatoes in hot water until soft. Blend all ingredients thoroughly in a blender. Add enough olive oil to create a smooth mixture. Be careful not to add too much! Season to taste with salt and freshly ground pepper. The dried chili pepper adds a little extra zest to the spread, but it’s not necessary. Pour the mixture into a sealed jar and refrigerate. It will keep for at least 14 days.
