Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 large melon(s)
- 1 bag of cornflakes, natural
- Any fruit for decoration (e.g. blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, kiwis)
- 1 packet of vanilla pudding powder
- 500 ml milk
- 250 g butter, room temperature
Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Cut off the ends of the melon to create as even a cylinder as possible. Remove the rind. Place the melon on a suitable surface, e.g. a relatively large cake plate, and spread custard cream around and on top. Then press cornflakes onto the outside until completely covered. Decorate the top of the cake with chopped fruit. Chill until ready to serve. To make the custard cream: Cook the vanilla pudding according to the package instructions and let it cool to room temperature. Cream the butter until creamy and stir in the custard a spoonful at a time. Chill for a while longer if necessary, as the custard cream needs to be quite thick to adhere to the melon.
