Melon Granita

The perfect melon granita recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Watermelon fresh
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 120 ml Water
  • 3 tbsp Citrus juice
  1. Stir sugar into water and bring to the boil, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile:
  1. Peel the melon, remove the stones and cut the meat into large pieces
  1. Mix the melon pieces, sugar water and citrus juice in a bowl and puree
  1. Fill the mixture into one or more flat containers / tins and place in the freezer compartment
  1. After one hour, pull through with a fork, then regularly until the desired ice crystal consistency is achieved. (at least 3 hours)
