Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g flour
- 500 g butter
- 200 g sour cream, cold from the refrigerator
- 100 g granulated sugar

Knead the flour with the butter and sour cream into a dough. Cut out circles (e.g., using two glasses of different sizes), and moisten them with water – this works best with a flower syringe. Then press the circles into the sugar and place them on a baking sheet. Bake on the middle rack of the oven at 160°C (320°F). Bake for 15-18 minutes. The circles should stay light in color; they shouldn’t brown.
