Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 5 egg whites
  • 300 g sugar
  • 1 pack of sauce powder (vanilla sauce)
  • 100 g almond(s), chopped
  • 300 g cream
  • 250 g fruit, e.g. berries, pineapple or kiwi

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Beat the egg whites with the sugar until stiff. Carefully stir in the vanilla sauce powder. Spread the mixture onto a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet and sprinkle with the chopped almonds. Bake for 15-17 minutes at 170 degrees Celsius. Remove from the oven, place a tea towel over the mixture, and turn it out onto the baking sheet. Allow to cool. Whip the cream until stiff and spread it over the cooled meringue. Distribute the fresh or well-drained fruit on top. Then roll up, starting from the long side. Best served well chilled. I got this recipe from a Norwegian; it’s very popular there, and ever since I discovered it, it’s been popular here too.
