Micky's Gnocchi Bake

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1,000 g gnocchi (refrigerated section)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tomatoes, sliced ​​or 8-10 halved cherry tomatoes
  • 375 g mozzarella (preferably buffalo mozzarella)
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan, freshly grated, optional
  • 100 g ham, raw, should not be too salty
  • salt and pepper
  • basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Mediterranean style

Preheat the oven to 250°C. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick pan and fry the gnocchi until golden brown. Season with salt and pepper and place in a greased, shallow baking dish. Arrange the tomato slices or halved cherry tomatoes on top. Slice or dice the mozzarella and place between the tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Briefly bake in the oven (250°C – with the grill function if desired) until the cheese is melted. Place the ham slices on top and return to the oven briefly until the ham is slightly crispy. Chop the basil (with scissors) and sprinkle over the finished gnocchi, then enjoy.
