Mild rhubarb compote

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 5 stalk(s) rhubarb
  • 200 g sugar
  • 125 ml milk
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 1 pack of pudding powder, vanilla

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Clean the rhubarb and cut it into small pieces. Simmer the rhubarb with sugar, water, and milk over low heat until the desired consistency is reached. Remove the rhubarb from the heat and slowly stir in the custard powder mixed with a little cold water. Then bring back to a boil for about 1 minute. The milk will help take away that dull, fuzzy feeling on your teeth. Serve with freshly baked bread and butter.
