Mildly spicy pig's ears

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 pts. puff pastry
  • 1 cup low-fat cream cheese
  • 300 g ham
  • ½ jar mushrooms

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

with cream cheese, ham and mushrooms

Preheat the oven to approximately 180-200°C. Roll out the puff pastry sideways on the work surface. Spread half a cup of cream cheese evenly to the edge of each piece of puff pastry. If you want the pig’s ears a little spicier, you can of course choose a different spread, e.g. cream cheese with horseradish. Place the ham (I use a spicier one, e.g. oven-baked ham) on top in a single layer. Cut the mushrooms into thin slices and arrange them in the middle column over about a quarter of the dough. Carefully roll up the dough from the left and right, but as tightly as possible, until the two rolls meet in the middle. Now cut off approximately 1 cm wide slices (ears) and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake for approximately 10-15 minutes.
