Honey – homemade without bees

Combine the buttermilk and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir well with a whisk occasionally. After about 3/4 hour, the mixture will gradually thicken. Eventually, it will take on the typical honey color. After about 45 to 60 minutes, the mixture will be viscous. Now you can transfer it to a container, Tupperware container, or honey jar. Once it has cooled, you can enjoy this delicious homemade honey. This is a very old recipe – dating back to the pre-war years. I got it from my dear godmother.
