Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 large potatoes
  • 250 ml cream or crème fraîche
  • 500 g minced meat
  • 250 ml broth or water with seasoning
  • Onion(s) or garlic
  • 6 slices of processed cheese or 1 pkt. grated cheese
  • Spice(s) (salt, paprika powder and some nutmeg)
  • 500 g vegetables (e.g. broccoli, peas, carrots, beans, cauliflower, etc.)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the potatoes and vegetables separately. The vegetables shouldn’t be overcooked, as they will soften slightly in the oven. I cooked them for 6 minutes, which is when they are still crunchy. Brown the minced meat and season with salt, paprika, and nutmeg. Add the cream and stock to the minced meat. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Slice the potatoes. Layer the potatoes, vegetables, and meat sauce in a baking dish. Sprinkle the cheese slices or grated cheese on top. Please note: Only add the processed cheese to the casserole 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time, otherwise it will turn black. Now bake in the oven for about 10 minutes (or 5 minutes without and 5 minutes with processed cheese).
