Mini apple strudel

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 sheets of filo pastry
  • 2 apples
  • some apple juice
  • 1 tbsp honey, liquid
  • some cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • some oil (e.g. rapeseed oil)
  • Raisins, optional
  • possibly cornstarch

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

for the Philips Airfryer

Peel the apples and cut into small cubes. Place them in a saucepan, just enough to cover with apple juice, and bring to a boil briefly. Add honey and cinnamon. Thicken with a little cornstarch, if desired. The apples should still be firm to the bite. Let cool slightly. Spread out a sheet of filo pastry, brush with melted butter, and place half of the apples on top. Fold in the sides and carefully roll up. Repeat with the second sheet of pastry. Brush both strudels with a little oil. Preheat the Philips Airfryer to 200 degrees Celsius for 3 minutes, place the strudels in the basket, and bake at 200 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes. Let cool slightly and enjoy. If you like, you can also add raisins to the apples. A scoop of vanilla ice cream also tastes delicious. Of course, you can also prepare the recipe in the oven without the Airfryer, following the instructions on the pastry package.
