Ingredients

for covering:

  • 250 g Rhubarb
  • 250 g Apples

for the dough:

  • 100 g Butter
  • 40 g Sugar, if you like it sweeter, simply take more
  • 1 tsp Rum
  • 2 Eggs, free range
  • 110 g Spelt flour or wheat flour
  • 25 g Food starch
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 2 tbsp Milk

For the sprinkles:

  • 60 g Spelt flour
  • 40 g Sugar
  • 40 g Butter in flakes
  • Who likes some cinnamon

Instructions

  • Mix the butter and sugar until frothy. Add eggs and stir to a creamy mass, stir in rum. Mix flour with baking powder and carefully stir in alternately with milk. Put the dough in a greased and floured form.
  • Peel the rhubarb and apples and cut into small cubes and place on the dough.
  • For the crumble, knead the above ingredients well so that you get nice crumble and place on the apple-rhubarb cubes and bake in the preheated oven for about half an hour at 170 ° degrees. I always bake on the lowest rack.
  • We like the cake when it is lukewarm and who likes a dollop of freshly whipped cream?
  • For a normal form, just double the recipe.
