Mint and Strawberry Mousse

The perfect mint and strawberry mousse recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 300 g Turkish yogurt
  • 20 Mint leaves, finely chopped
  • 200 g Whipped cream
  • 1 Lime, zest and juice
  • 60 g Sugar
  • 5 leaf Gelatin
  • 12 medium sized Strawberries, cut into small cubes
  • 4 Strawberries for decoration
  • Amarettini for decoration
  1. Put the Turkish yoghurt in a bowl and add the finely chopped mint leaves and stir well. Also add the zest of the lime and stir.
  2. Soak the gelatine in cold water. Put the lime juice together with the sugar in a saucepan and heat while stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Then remove the saucepan from the stove and dissolve the squeezed gelatin in it while stirring and add about 3 spoons of the mint yoghurt and stir very well – then add this to the rest of the mint yoghurt and stir well.
  3. Now fold in the whipped cream, making sure that the cream is not whipped until it is completely stiff, because it will reach its greatest volume shortly before it becomes stiff and otherwise the mousse could taste too buttery and heavy. When the cream is folded in, then add the strawberry cubes and carefully fold in. Now fill the mousse into dessert glasses and let it sit in the refrigerator for about 4 hours.
  4. Before serving, decorate with amarettini and strawberries and possibly a mint leaf.
