Strawberry – Elderflower – Mint – Jam

The perfect strawberry – elderflower – mint – jam recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Fresh strawberries
  • 10 piece Elderflower
  • 8 sheet Mint fresh
  • 1 packet Preserving sugar 2: 1
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice

Preparation, elderberry unwashed:

  1. Remove the elderflower from the stems, check for animals, do not wash, otherwise the stamens are gone and the scent is gone.
  2. Wash the strawberries, remove the greens, cut into small pieces. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of sugar and let stand for a good 3 hours.

Remove flowers with a fork:

  1. Remove the elder, otherwise it will be too dark.

Add mint:

  1. Wash the mint and cut into fine strips.
  2. Mix with the preserving sugar & lemon juice and simmer for 3 minutes.

Mixing:

  1. Finely puree with a mixer.

Bottling:

  1. Fill into clean rinsed jars with screw lids, hot & 5 MIn. turn it upside down.

Tip :

  1. I will use my syrup next time I find it easier.
