Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 tbsp oil (sunflower oil)
  • 8 steak(s) (minute steaks)
  • 1 large onion(s), diced
  • 150 g carrot(s), grated
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, finely diced
  • 1 m.-large zucchini, sliced
  • 4 medium-sized tomatoes, sliced
  • 500 g tomatoes, pureed
  • 500 g mushrooms, very small from a can
  • 150 g lean ham, diced
  • 250 g mozzarella, sliced
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • some oregano
  • some basil
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Served with baguette slices and green salad

Brown the meat slices in a non-stick pan in a little oil for about 4-5 minutes, turning occasionally. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and keep warm. Brown the zucchini slices on both sides in the same oil. Season with salt and pepper, and keep warm. For the sauce, sauté the diced onion and ham in a little oil, add the grated carrots, mushrooms, and garlic. Stir in the passata and season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar. Add oregano and basil, if desired. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Pour the sauce into a greased baking dish and arrange the meat, zucchini, mozzarella, and tomato slices in the sauce, alternating them in a fan shape. Bake for about 10-15 minutes.
