Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g beef (entrecôte or other high-quality cut)
- 3 carrots
- 2 bunch spring onions
- 1 onion(s)
- 125 ml soy sauce
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 5 garlic cloves
- ¼ Nashi pear(s), alternatively apple or pear
- 1 pinch(s) of pepper
- 1 dashes sake
- 1 dashes rice vinegar
- 1 pinch(s) chili powder, Korean
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours 40 minutes
Cut the beef into very thin slices. Slice the carrots diagonally into thin slices. Finely slice the spring onions and onion. Purée the nashi pear and garlic in a blender. For the marinade, combine the soy sauce, sugar, honey, sesame oil, garlic, nashi pear, pepper, sake, rice vinegar, and chili powder. Place the meat, carrots, spring onions, and onion in a large bowl and mix well with the marinade. Let it marinate for a few hours in the refrigerator. Then, briefly sear it in a grill pan.
