Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 50 ml water
- 2 tbsp instant coffee powder (Nescafe)
- 175 g margarine, soft
- 100 ml cream
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 275 g sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 100 g cocoa powder (chocolate powder)
- 250 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Chocolate, 6 chocolate bars (Schoggibranchli)

Chocolate cake with chocolate branches
Dissolve the coffee powder in water and place it in a mixing bowl. Add the margarine, cream, and eggs and mix with a mixer. Add the sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt and mix. Stir in the cocoa powder, then sift in the flour and baking powder and mix until a smooth batter forms. Fill a prepared 30 cm loaf pan with 1/3 of the batter and place 2 chocolate bars lengthwise on top. Add another 1/3 of the batter and place 2 more chocolate bars. Pour in the remaining batter and place the last 2 chocolate bars on top. Bake in the bottom third of the preheated oven at 180°C for about 60 minutes.
