  • 2 onions
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 leek(s)

  • 250 ml broth

  • e.g. sour cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

What’s supposed to be Russian about this dish is beyond me, but it’s super easy to make and tastes delicious. Peel and dice the onions, trim, wash, and slice the leeks. Heat the oil and butter in a pan and fry the diced onions. Increase the heat and fry the minced meat until crumbly. Reduce the heat to low and add the leeks, tomato paste, stock, mustard, and spices. Simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in the sour cream just before serving and season well again. Serve with pasta and a mixed or green salad.
