Moist marzipan cookies

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g marzipan paste
  • 160 g powdered sugar
  • 220 g flour
  • 200 g almonds, ground
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 4 tsp Amaretto
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch(s) salt
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 100 g almond flakes or granulated sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Tear the marzipan apart with your fingers. Knead with powdered sugar, flour, almonds, egg whites, cinnamon, amaretto, baking powder, and salt. Preheat oven to 175°C (top/bottom heat) (155°C fan oven). Whisk the egg yolks and form the dough into small balls with your hands. Dip the balls in egg yolk and then coat them in flaked almonds or sugar powder. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 12-15 minutes. Let cool.
