savory tart with tomatoes for a delicious dinner or buffet

Knead a dough from oats, flour, butter, one egg, water, and salt. Grease a 26 cm springform pan, line it with the dough, and prick the dough a few times with a fork. Bake in a preheated oven at 190 degrees Celsius on the middle rack for about 15 minutes. Dice the cooked ham, peeled bell peppers (I do this with a vegetable peeler), sliced tomatoes, and roughly diced cheese on the pre-baked dough base. Whisk the washed and chopped parsley with the sour cream, salt, pepper, Tabasco, 3 eggs, and instant oats and pour over the cake. Bake at 190 degrees Celsius for about 35 minutes. Note: If desired, the cooked ham can be omitted or replaced with sliced turkey breast. A few finely sliced onions and olives can also be added to the tomato cake. The tomato cake tastes delicious freshly baked, but also served lukewarm or cold, for example, with a glass of wine. Depending on the portion size, the tomato cake is also a great appetizer or for a picnic. Otherwise, it can easily feed 4-6 people.
