Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 375 g flour
  • 150 g butter or margarine
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ tsp vinegar
  • 150 ml water
  • 750 g minced meat (bratwurst minced meat)
  • 1 onion(s), finely diced
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 3 onions, cut into rings
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 200 g herb cream cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 150 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • some salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 25 minutes

Hearty sheet cake with sausage mince and herb cream cheese

Knead all of the dough ingredients well and leave to rest in a cool place for about 1 hour. Line a baking tray with baking paper and roll out the dough on it. Pull up the edges slightly. Mix the sausage mince with the onion and thyme and spread evenly on the dough. Sauté the onion rings in fat until golden brown. Peel the tomatoes, cut them into thin slices and add them to the sausage mixture with the onion rings. Mix the cream cheese with the remaining ingredients, pour over the traybake and bake with top/bottom heat on the second rack from the bottom at 200°C for about 40 minutes. The quiche tastes great warm as a main course or cold, for example cut into triangles, on a buffet or as finger food.
