Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 8 steak(s), e.g. ostrich
- 1 large onion(s), diced
- 2 tomatoes, from the can
- 150 ml tomato ketchup
- 75 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 2 clove(s) garlic, chopped
- 100 ml chutney (e.g. mango chutney)
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp Tabasco
- 75 ml water
- some oil
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Heat the oil in a large pan. Sauté the onions and garlic until softened. Add the remaining ingredients, except the steaks, and mix well. Let the sauce simmer for about 10-15 minutes. Fry the steaks separately. Finally, pour the sauce over the steaks and serve with rice.
