Muesli and Sesame Brittle
The perfect muesli and sesame brittle recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 300 g Fruit cereal
- 100 g Sesame
- 50 g Mixed grains – sunflower, pine, pumpkin
- 200 g Brown sugar
- 100 g Honey
- 100 ml Cream
- Preheat the oven to 150 degrees without convection. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Let the sugar caramelize in the saucepan over medium heat. When the sugar is completely dissolved, add the honey and cream and bring to the boil briefly. Turn off the stove, but leave the pot on. Add muesli, sesame seeds and grains and stir everything vigorously.
- Then pour everything onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it flat with a wet tablespoon (approx. 1 cm thick). Press a few “grooves” into it (like a bar of chocolate) so that it can be broken more easily afterwards. No more is necessary because it will run a little in the oven again.
- Now put the tray in the middle of the oven for 25 minutes. Then take it out immediately, let it cool down and break into individual portions. It’s not about equality.
