Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 250 g butter
- 2 packets of vanilla sugar
- 250 g sugar
- 125 g chocolate shavings
- 250 g flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 4 eggs
- 200 ml wine (mulled wine)
- 200 g powdered sugar
- 120 g almonds, chopped
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Mix the butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar thoroughly. Gradually add the eggs, beating until fluffy. Stir in the chocolate sprinkles, sifted flour, and baking powder, then add a good 150 ml of mulled wine. Continue stirring until a light and fluffy batter forms. Pour the batter into the prepared muffin tin (greased or, better yet, lined with paper baking cups) and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 20-25 minutes. Then let cool and glaze (glaze: mix the powdered sugar with the remaining mulled wine and mix well). Finally, sprinkle the muffins with chopped almonds.
