Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 50 g lard
- 3 m.-large onion(s), in rings
- 1 garlic clove(s), finely diced
- 600 g mushrooms, various, in large pieces
- 2 green bell peppers, cut into 2 cm wide strips
- 400 g potatoes, peeled, diced
- 125 ml meat broth, possibly instant
- 125 ml sour cream
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tbsp flour
- Salt
- Oregano, dried
- Paprika powder, hot
- 1 bunch of chives, finely chopped
Instructions
Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes
Heat the lard in a large pot and fry the onions and garlic for 5 minutes until light golden. Add the mushrooms and bell peppers, cover, and sauté for 5 minutes. Add the potatoes, meat broth, salt, oregano, paprika, and bay leaf, and simmer gently for another 20 minutes. Combine the cream and flour, stir in, season to taste, and serve sprinkled with chives. Serve with potato dumplings, rice, or boiled potatoes.
