Mushroom gratin

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g mushrooms
  • 3 shallots
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 10 slice(s) bacon, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 200 ml cream
  • 100 ml broth
  • 250 cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Clean and halve the mushrooms. Finely chop the shallots and garlic cloves. Rinse the parsley, shake dry, and finely chop. Cut the bacon into strips. Heat the butter in a pan and fry the bacon for about 2 minutes until crispy. Then combine with the mushrooms, parsley, shallots, and garlic and season with salt and pepper. Transfer the mixture to a well-greased casserole dish. Mix the cream with the broth and pour over the mushrooms. Bake the casserole for about 25 minutes at 200°C. Sprinkle the cheese over the mushrooms and bake for another 10 minutes.
