Mushroom vegetables with tomatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g mixed mushrooms, cleaned and cut into large pieces
  • 750 g tomatoes, fresh, peeled, pitted, diced
  • 100 g bacon, diced
  • 50 g butter
  • 2 large onions, roughly chopped
  • 1 bunch chives, finely chopped
  • some salt and pepper, white
  • some paprika powder, hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

as a side dish to grilled meat

Fry the bacon cubes in a large pan, add butter and heat, then add the onions and sauté until light golden. Add the mushrooms, tomatoes, and seasonings, then cover and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes. Stir in the chives before serving.
