- 1 vegetable stock cube
- 500 ml water

Clean and rinse the mussels thoroughly. Discard any open or damaged mussels. Place the mussels in a saucepan and fill with enough water to completely cover them. Add the stock cube. Cook the mussels until they are all open. Discard any remaining closed mussels. Serve the mussels with mussel sauce or the broth. This recipe can also be used to cook mussels for later use in other dishes.
