Mussels in white wine sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg mussels
  • 4 large onions, cut into rings
  • 5 clove(s) garlic, chopped or squeezed
  • 200 ml white wine
  • 200 ml water
  • 50 ml lemon juice
  • 1 bunch parsley, chopped
  • 1 class bunch of coriander, chopped
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • ¼ tbsp chili powder
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 dash of olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Rinse the mussels thoroughly under cold water. Sauté the onions and garlic in oil until translucent. Combine the wine and water, lemon juice, and breadcrumbs in a saucepan and season with salt, pepper, and chili powder. Add the parsley and coriander. Cook the mussels for 10-15 minutes, until they open.
