Ingredients for 4 servings:
- ½ cup mustard, of your choice
- ½ cup honey
- ½ cup sugar, light brown
- ½ cup vinegar (distilled white wine vinegar)
- salt and pepper

A BBQ sauce with a difference
Whisk together the mustard, honey, sugar, and vinegar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over low heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is fragrant. Remove the pan from the heat and season with salt and pepper. Transfer the sauce to a bowl and serve hot or at room temperature. It will keep in the refrigerator for several weeks if tightly covered.
