Mustard sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 ½ tbsp applesauce
  • ¼ liter chicken broth
  • 2 slices of toast
  • 3 tbsp mustard, hot
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 shot of brandy
  • 1 tbsp hazelnuts, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Melt the butter. Sauté the applesauce in it until almost caramelized. Pour in the chicken broth. Remove the crust from the toast and crumble it. Add it to the ingredients and stir until it dissolves. Now add the mustard and season with salt, pepper, and brandy. Finally, sprinkle the hazelnuts on top.
