Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 50 g butter
  • 125 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 350 g flour
  • 150 g ground almonds
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 5 drops of bitter almond flavor
  • Fat or oil for frying
  • Cinnamon and sugar mixed

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Combine all ingredients (except the shortening and cinnamon sugar) in a dough and let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Then roll it out on the countertop to a thickness of 1 cm and cut out small balls with a teaspoon. Fry in hot oil (160°C) until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper. Roll in sugar and cinnamon while still hot.
