My favorite wholemeal spelt bread with seeds for the bread maker

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g wholemeal spelt flour
  • 150 g seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, flax, chia, sesame)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 packets of dry yeast
  • 500 ml water
  • 4 tbsp fruit vinegar
  • Bread spice mix
  • Turmeric powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 hours 30 minutes; Total time approx. 4 hours 45 minutes

First of all: I have a bread baking pan that adds the dry ingredients first, followed by the liquid ingredients. Check your bread baking pan’s manufacturer’s recommendations. Mix the flour with the grains and pour into the baking pan. Then distribute the salt, bread spice, and turmeric around the outside. Put the dried yeast in a small well in the middle. Then add the water and vinegar. Place the bread baking pan in the bread baking pan, adjust the weight and browning. I set it to dark; medium makes the bread too light for me. Then select a program for spelt bread. Mine took 4:30 hours to bake.
