My Hawaiian schnitzel

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 6 schnitzels
  • 500 g tomatoes, pureed
  • 200 g whipped cream
  • 1 can pineapple slice(s)
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp, leveled herbs de Provence, dried

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

made quick and easy

Preheat the oven to 225°C (top/bottom heat). Wash the schnitzel, pat dry, season with salt and pepper, and place in a baking dish. Arrange the drained pineapple slices on top. Mix the tomatoes with the cream, season with salt and pepper, and herbs, and pour over the schnitzel and pineapple. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for 25-30 minutes. This makes quite a lot of sauce and goes just as well with potatoes or dumplings as it does with pasta, rice, or baguette.
