My Red Matjessalat

  • 5 piece Herring fillets
  • 2 piece Boiled beetroot
  • 2 piece Pickled cucumbers
  • 3 Discs Roast pork
  • 1 handful Chopped walnuts
  • 5 piece Anchovy fillets
  • 1 piece Apple
  • 200 g Sour cream
  • 200 g Cream
  • 1 tablespoon Cream horseradish
  • 3 tablespoon Vinegar
  • 2 teaspoon Mustard
  • 3 Pinches Pepper, sugar, salt
  1. Cut the matjes into pieces, as well as the roast pork, the cucumber and the anchovies. Peel, quarter, core and dice the apple, then slice the beetroot into strips and dice. Put everything in a bowl with the walnuts.
  2. For the dressing, mix the sour cream, the cream, the vinegar, the mustard and the horseradish, season with salt, pepper and sugar, pour over the salad and fold in. Let it steep in the refrigerator.
