Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 ml milk
  • 5 eggs
  • Salt
  • 80 g butter
  • nutmeg
  • 380 g bread roll(s), diced
  • 2 tbsp flour, strong

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Whisk the milk with the eggs and salt. Melt the butter and pour it over the bread cubes along with the nutmeg and egg mixture, stirring thoroughly. Let it rest for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with flour and stir thoroughly again. With wet hands, shape the mixture into a log, wrap it in a napkin, tie it at both ends with string, and place it in boiling salted water. Immediately reduce the heat to low and let it rest for 40-45 minutes.
