Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 125 g rice
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion(s)
  • Garlic
  • Sambal Oelek
  • 100 g carrot(s)
  • 100 g mushrooms
  • ½ bell pepper(s), green
  • ½ red bell pepper(s)
  • 100 g leek
  • 300 g chicken breast fillet(s)
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • turmeric

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Indonesian rice dish

Cook the rice until tender and allow to cool. Heat oil in a non-stick pan or wok until light brown. Fry the finely diced onion, garlic, and a pinch of sambal oelek until light brown. Grate the roots and add them. Slice the mushrooms and add them to the pan. Remove the seeds from the bell pepper, cut them into thin strips, and add them. Finely slice the leek and mix it with the nasi goreng. Cut the chicken breast fillets into strips and fry them with the rest. Add soy sauce and turmeric (to taste). Then mix the cooled rice with the nasi goreng and heat it through.
