Ingredients

  • 400 g Cooked chicken
  • 100 g Bacon in blocks
  • Oil for frying
  • 3 Onions
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 150 g Rice cooked parboiled
  • 1 serving Boemboe Nasi Goreng is a special seasoning mix
  • 1 tsp Sambal Oelek
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce sweet
  • 1 small Leeks in the finest rings
  • Pickled cucumbers in the finest slices

Instructions

  • Cut the chicken and bacon into small blocks, first halve the onions, then cut into large wedges; Finely chop the peeled garlic.
  • The Boemboe Nasi Goreng is usually soaked in a little warm water and then fried until golden brown in a little heated oil - then set aside.
  • Fry the meat with the ham blocks in a little heated oil until golden brown. Add the onions and continue to fry, turning constantly, until the onions are also colored.
  • Now add the garlic with the cooked rice and the seasoning mixture that you have set aside. Turn around diligently while frying until everything has got an appetizing color.
  • Finally, season the exotic dish with the fine leek rings, with sambal oelek and the sweet soy sauce and serve with very finely sliced cucumber. The cucumber slices soften the spiciness and make the dish "round" in terms of taste.
  • Note 6: We often have this nasi goreng when we have some meat left over from the grilled chicken. You can also cook it with fresh chicken, but you should fry the cubes a few minutes longer.
  • The many different pictures of the finished Nasi Goreng already show how much we love this dish and also that I like to prepare it quite often.
