Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
decorative and delicate herb butter
Place the flowers in a bowl of salted water for 10 minutes to expel any unwanted visitors. Whisk softened butter (which has been out of the refrigerator for about an hour) with a whisk (in a food processor). Add salt to taste. Stir in the chopped cress leaves, then add the flowers. Roll the butter into a sausage using aluminum foil and let it stiffen. It’s now ready to use; it can be sliced and used like herb butter. It looks very decorative and tastes delicious. Nasturtiums are also high in vitamins (vitamin C is twice as high as in black currants, and provitamin A is also important).
