from fresh flowers, spicy

Shake the whole nasturtium flowers thoroughly to remove any small bugs and place them in a food processor with the salt for 30-60 seconds. Pour the moist salt mixture onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper and dry in the oven at 40°C for about 1.5 hours (convection oven for about 1 hour). Leave the oven door slightly ajar. After drying, chop the salt again and place it in the oven for about 10 minutes to dry further. Then store in a dry place. Tastes delicious on boiled eggs and buttered bread.
