Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 450 g flour
- 200 g sugar (rock candy)
- 200 g margarine or butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp anise, (whole)
- 1 tbsp cardamom
- 1 liter of water
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 20 minutes
Rullerkes or ice cream cakes, makes about 40 pieces
Dissolve rock candy in 1 liter of water and let it cool. Melt the butter as well. Once the butter has cooled, beat it until creamy and gradually add the egg, spices, sugar solution, and flour. It’s best to let the dough stand overnight! Then you’ll need a croissant iron to bake it in. It’s best to store the New Year’s cakes in a tin.
