Noodles with curry hot dog sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g pasta
  • salt water
  • 500 g tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 ½ tbsp curry sauce
  • 1 ½ tbsp cream
  • 2 shallots
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 4 sausages (Wiener)
  • 4 gherkins
  • 1 tbsp cucumber juice from the gherkins
  • salt and pepper
  • tarragon
  • Five-spice powder
  • Thyme
  • oregano
  • possibly Parmesan

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Cook the pasta in salted water as usual and drain. Meanwhile, finely chop the shallots and slice the sausages. Sauté both with the garlic. Then add the passata, followed by the curry sauce and cream. Slice the gherkins and add them. Add 1-2 tablespoons of the pickle juice to taste. Finally, season with salt, pepper, tarragon, thyme, oregano, and a small pinch of 5-spice powder. Pour the sauce over the pasta. If desired, add Parmesan cheese.
