Nougat cookies

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 375 g margarine
  • 190 g powdered sugar
  • 450 g flour
  • 30 g cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 200 g nougat
  • 50 g butter
  • 50 g powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes

for the pastry press, for approx. 80 pieces

Makes about 80 cookies. Mix the soft margarine with the powdered sugar until well combined. Mix with the flour, cocoa, cinnamon, and milk to form a batter. Use a cookie press to place the cookies on the baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 10-12 minutes. For the cream, heat the nougat and butter until both are very soft but not runny, then mix with the powdered sugar until smooth. Spread the cream on the cooled cookie halves, sandwiching them together. Keep refrigerated to allow the cream to firm up again.
